THE ANGRY OFFENDER

Labeling people as sex offenders is VERY EXPENSIVE TO YOU.
2009-04-25 12:31 ET

Look at some of the information I've gathered. Extruding dollar figures from real-world numbers easily found in news articles online yields dollar amounts that boggle the mind. The amount of money spent to use GPS bracelets to track LOW-RISK SEXUAL OFFENDERS who are extremely unlikely to commit another sex crime ever again in their lives over a period of ten years came out to over $450 MILLION dollars. What could you spend $45M/year on?

"One in five..."
2009-04-20 10:42 ET

Here it is, folks. Proof that you're being lied to about sex crimes. How long will you let these idiots in the media and at the NCMEC get away with it? Are "one in five children" sexually solicited online, or is that just the latest faux "fact" in a stream of lies about sex crime?

Tons of old mail now available
2009-04-17 15:27 ET

The Angry Offender dips into his vast mail archives and posts some gems from the past. Take a look at what we've got! If you want a minute on the soapbox, send some mail this way!

Sigh. Conversion.
2009-02-18 10:33 ET

No new submissions from The Angry Offender in a while. We hear he's busy with school stuff at the moment. In the meantime, we're converting this site to a more manageable PHP-based one. Ugh, the gore that is static HTML pages. At least TAO was using CSS and XHTML already. Hey, we're in charge of this site now, so why not do something to make everyones' lives easier? If you see any technical glitches from our work, let TAO know about it, but hopefully the only difference will be what we see on our end. Sincerely, the Webmaster.

"Read the Bills Act"
2009-01-10 10:31 ET

This is a very important idea. So many dirty tricks in Congress happen because of the fact that the laws aren't being read before they are passed. How is someone representing you in government if they're not even reading laws before passing them? (UPDATE 2009-02-17: So how 'bout that so-called "economic stimulus bill?" Do you need any more proof that not reading bills before they're passed is a problem? They were expected to read 1,100 pages in less than 24 hours!)

FWD.US/HRW page has been updated
2008-12-30 14:43 ET

The article on FAMILYWATCHDOG.US and HRW has been updated. This update was horribly late, but at least I got around to posting it! Links are provided to some search results I've found that may provide more information about this topic.

Offloading maintenance...
2008-12-30 12:37 ET

I'm getting tired of maintaining this site on my own, especially since I'm heading back to college and won't have time to do all the HTML formatting and whatnot, so I'm handing over some of the site maintenance and publishing tasks to a local company called Tritech Computer Solutions. I happened to walk into their store needing a spool of blank CDs as I was travelling to and from the Charlotte area, and ended up talking with the owner about my website. He agreed that some of the laws in this country are getting horribly out of hand and are knee-jerk reactions instead of well thought out laws based on real evidence and facts, and not just with sex offender laws, but almost everything else that's a crime as well, and I can't say I disagree. They're doing my site posting and maintenance in exchange for allowing them to put a link at the bottom of my pages and me spreading the word about how awesome they are. You can really tell that the techs there know what they're doing; I'd describe the way they talked as a sort of "verbal geek marathon." Seems like they knew far too much about computers for the grey matter under my ponytail to retain. I had no idea what they were talking about sometimes, and I learned a lot of stuff while I was there chatting it up. If you like my site, support the people that are helping me out so I can write more articles and collect more information! The owner blog they've got is sort of interesting, too. I actually found a description of a computer problem I encountered a year ago on there, with directions for a fix...a little late, but now that I know about these guys, I don't think I'll go anywhere else when I'm stumped. How cool is it that they took up my maintenance for free though?!

Forgiveness. Seriously.
2008-12-07 16:38 ET

Christians will probably benefit the most from reading it, as well as be the most offended, but in a change of the usual tone of The Angry Offender, I've covered the oft-ignored topic of the double standard we see used for forgiveness in modern society. All of you who wish that I'd directly address the hate that exists for sex offenders, this is what you've been waiting for.

Stop "International Megan's Law!"
2008-08-10 15:40 ET

I'm working on it, but it's too important to not put out there. Something must be done about H.R. 5722, "International Megan's Law," which would in practice deny sex offenders the ability to leave the United States. This is bad for sex offenders because they won't be able to escape persecution, but worse for families that are concerned with sex offenders because the sex offenders won't be able to leave the country. Guess what, folks? That means they're stuck here. Thank Maureen Kanka and Marc Klass, who support this law that is currently in its infancy, for keeping your kids safe by keeping the sex offenders next door.

XHTML/1.1, CSS Upgrades In Progress
2008-08-09 16:22 ET

I'm in the process of fixing my antiquated website layout and trying to make some of the pages look a little bit better in the process. Let me know if you have any suggestions. The white-on-black color scheme hasn't exactly been the best choice, and I've heard a couple of complaints in the past about it. The main navigation and news page you should be reading now are a taste of things to come. What do you think? I'd love to know.

The Penile Plethysmograph (AKA The "Peter Meter")
2008-07-08 00:08 ET

If you've ever asked yourself what a "penile plethysmograph" is, I've got your answer. Also enclosed is a warning about where we're headed: catching child predators BEFORE they violate a child. It's worth a read even if you know what the thing is and what it does. Also, at this time, XHTML/1.1 and CSS/2.1 validation is actually pending, but I didn't want to paste it all in AFTER fixing the page code, so if you play with my W3C validator buttons at the bottom, they'll surely fail miserably. Sorry!

Mail is fun!
2007-10-22 01:01 ET

It speaks for itself. Starting today, anyone who sends me mail that is not routine in nature will end up with a posting on the new mail page. It will be interesting and thought-provoking stuff. There are some things that are articulated far better as a response to a message than as an essay, article, or story, and hopefully my responses to mail I recieve will enlighten you as much as my articles (hopefully) are.

Quickies (not a Bill Clinton joke)
2007-09-22 00:28 ET

I'm a fairly brilliant person if I do say so myself, and I write a lot of newsgroup, forum, and blog comment posts that are very informational and insightful...but I never really turn them around into articles you can read. So, to make things easier on myself as a blog hater who sometimes wishes to present everything in completely static old-skool HTML/3.2, I have created a separate section called "Quickies." You will find all kinds of scattered, uncategorized, heavily unformatted, and short but sweet little reading bites that may or may not be related directly to the other material on this site. We'll gladly give you a quickie if you click here! (I'm laughing right now. Really.)

FAMILYWATCHDOG.US is EXPOSED
2007-09-19 11:37 ET

Finally! A debunking of the FAMILYWATCHDOG.US "report" that attacks the Human Rights Watch two-year study on sex offenders. These people could care less about the truth, and are willing to sacrifice your children to promote their own agendas. The Angry Offender has them nailed to the wall.

Prior Lake, Minnesota
2007-09-04 11:42 ET

The City Council of Prior Lake, Minnesota, has decided that they do not have to respond to critical sex offender issues. As a result, citizens both in and near Prior Lake may suffer drastically. Hiding behind closed doors, they plan to push laws that are proven to increase the risk of a sexual assault on their own citizens, as well as citizens in neighboring cities and townships. The Angry Offender won't let them get away with it unscathed.

The Real Problem
2007-08-19 18:14 ET

Inspired by a forum post that came about discussing my write-up on the dangers of sex offender registration, I have written something wonderful that will change the way people look at crime, and help them to understand why crime isn't stopping. Enjoy reading Stopping Sex Crimes: The Real Problem and Real Solutions.

How YOU Are Being Manipulated: A MUST READ
2007-06-16 00:48 ET

My latest addition is a more general piece, and also an ongoing side project. In the interests of helping people to realize how they are deceived every day without even noticing, and helping them to see the truth where it is being covered up so quietly that no suspicion is raised, I have started How YOU Are Being Manipulated: Detailing How Politicians and Media Groups Subtly And Deceptively Change Your Thinking. Please forward a copy of or link to this to everyone you know, to help them see the lies right in front of them!

Sex Offender Registry PROVES ITSELF WORTHLESS!
2007-05-25 18:34 ET

I've finally made a discovery that destroys the credibility of every single advocate pushing to keep sex offender registration going, and the strangest part is that it was an actual Sex Offender Registry (and some correctional departments) that did all the work for me! Head on over to the article and prepare for a shocking dose of reality, courtesy of your The Angry Offender!

Spreading Like a (GOOD) Virus!
2007-04-20 00:35 ET

Recently, I have noticed a significant boost in both my E-mail count and my site visit stats. It seems that more people are spreading the word and are reading more of the valuable material I have posted. I have also received a lot of mail from both registered sex offenders and relatives of RSO's, and I definitely appreciate the feedback! I will continue to fight for what is right, and together we just might open a few more eyes to truthful information about the current sex offender panic.

Residency Restrictions and Predator Panic
2007-03-26 14:44 ET

I've written a new page covering the topic of sex offender residency restrictions and why they are endangering children rather than protecting them. Also, you will find some spiffy new information if you browse the links page.
